Caitlin not only made magic happen in every single image she delivered, she remained calm and determined to get all the shots I wanted! Not to mention totally bringing my vision from all the inspo pictures even amongst the unexpected chaos. She was up for an adventure from our very first call and I could hear the excitement in her voice as I explained my vision for our small ceremony! We decided to do a very remote elopement which required some travel, and she accommodated with ease. She was even able to make our wedding date work for her schedule as we booked very last minute when we decided to elope on a whim! This girl radiates such fun energy and enthusiasm, it’s contagious. There were so many impressive portfolios of beautiful wedding photos in Maui that we were quite overwhelmed, but as soon as we started communicating with Caitlin, we knew we'd found the one. She went above and beyond to accommodate my requests, met with us in advance, and has given us the most beautiful photos–better than we ever could have imagined.
We had several last-minute challenges and Caitlin was so helpful and flexible in navigating them and advising us with her excellent local knowledge!! The locations she recommended were extraordinary, capturing our love and connection against spectacular tree/forest scapes, rocky cliffs, and a beach sunset in just two hours–including a change of outfits that she helped design and orchestrate to perfection! Her vast experience is so apparent in the effortless way she conducted the shoot, setting us both at ease with her confident direction and insight, enabling us to just enjoy the experience together and celebrate the moment. The most magical thing about these photos is how empowered they have left me feeling. When I look back at the process it feels a bit like a workshop in learning to love myself and Caitlin's card should read: 'let me show you how beautiful you are'. I love everything about how I look in these photos, from my voluptuous figure to the joy that radiates from my face. I love how unstaged and real and imperfectly perfect they are.
We had a very intimate wedding, just my husband and our two young sons, but Caitlin has the amazing ability to flow with the energy of those around her, so it felt very natural, just like family. After the ceremony was complete my husband and I decided to jump in the ocean and have the Pacific ocean bless our nuptials. This was the best decision we could have made and really where the magic happened. Caitlin candidly captured us in our purest essence: playing together as a family in Maui's waters. The photos she took of us are my absolute favorite - love seems to just fall from the soft skies and magic glistens on each rolling wave.
I can't believe I almost didn't get any photos taken for our elopement. But I am so glad that we did and found Caitlin. These are the kinds of photos my grandkids will be showing their children one day.
